Tips on dealing with SAD (seasonal affective disorder)

  1. There are special lights that can help. A light book can even be purchased from a store like Costco. You just use them for a few minutes in the morning and at night.
  2. Take vitamin D3, the “sunshine vitamin.”  You may want to take a little more than is recommended during this time of year.
  3. Diffuse your favourite essential oils. If you don’t have a favourite, try grapefruit as it is known to uplift and help ease depression especially for these darker days. You can also contact Tammy as we have a wide selection of therapeutic essential oils available for sale.
  4. When you’re feeling good, make a list of healthy things that make you feel great so that you have the knowing and awareness so you can duplicate the feeling when necessary.
