Are you woken up by someone or the buzzzz of the alarm? Have you been awake most of the night or do you automatically wake up? Do you dread the day and pull the covers over your head, hit the snooze a few times or do you fly out of bed once awake or lounge for a couple of minutes? These 1st few minutes of the day often set the tone of the day.
I encourage you to take a moment upon waking and think of a few things your are grateful for. It might even be as simple as having bed to sleep in and a roof over your head. Then set an intention for the day, like having a great day. One thing I like to do is, ask myself,”I wonder what unexpected good things will come today?” Then I go curiously through the day be open to the unexpected. Sometimes something little or something completely unexpected.
