With summer holidays starting to wane, I hope you have been enjoying your summer and the lovely weather we have been having in the Pacific Northwest. Have you taken time to try something different?
So often it is easy to do the things you are comfortable with, it’s easy, you know it. Yes, it keeps you in your comfort zone, however, I encourage you to include something to stretch yourself.
I know you can find all kinds of reasons why not to. I encourage you to find more reason for trying something new. Maybe, take hiking for example: go for a harder hike if you already hike or an overnight trip, cycling, para-sailing, swimming, caving, kayaking or a summertime picnic?
When you give your new adventure a try and notice how it makes you feel. Do you feel more alive, invigorated, challenged, inspired or warm in the heart? I would love to hear about your experience. Email me.
I recently had some of these experiences. I went hiking in the Rookies and it was amazingly breath-taking!
Going hiking there gave me a whole other possibility for life. Did you know that many of those mountains a person could hike to the top? It’s true! I did not know that, plus there are many books available with different hiking trails.
When we were hiking one of the trails, there was someone who was running, yes running up the mountain, also there was a young child that was about 6 years old who was heading up this very step hill. It was inspiring, I am ready to go and do it again.
Wishing you the best of summer! Go enjoy something unusual and notice how you feel.
