Fall is the perfect time to use ginger. Its many benefits can be incorporated in a variety of ways.
• Add a couple of drops of ginger to a bath when you’re feeling chilled or under the weather
• Mix a drop of ginger oil with some honey to add to your hot water
• Add a couple of drops to massage oil as well.
Ginger, besides being warming to the body, is also warming to the mind and emotions. It has some analgesic properties aiding with arthritic and rheumatic pains, cramps, and muscle spasms in the lower back. Exercise caution when using it on sensitive skin.
I also love cooking with ginger because it warms the digestion process by promoting gastric juices. Ginger also eases nausea, hangovers, and sea sickness.
Enjoy having some ginger this month.
