Making this Christmas & Holiday Season the Best

Whether your holiday tradition is the same routine from year to year, or if you’re you are experiencing change, what I am about to say applies to both categories. I was recently speaking with someone who loves Christmas; however, they find it very stressful and that can affect their joy.  No matter what the circumstances, ultimately our Christmas happiness and joy are up to us.  The sooner we are willing to believe that, then the sooner we can realize that we have the power of choice. Oftentimes we don’t know specifically what creates stress for us – it could be shopping, spending too much or not enough, lacking time, feeling like you have to do everything yourself, being alone during the holiday season, drinking too much, squabbling amongst guests/family members, or feeling obligated to do things you don’t want to do.

If you’re ready to take back the happiness of the season and manage your stress, then here are 5 tips to do just that.
1. Repeat this mantra: “My holiday happiness and joy are up to me!”
2. Breathe
3. Do 3 things each day that make you happy
4. Take a break and delegate
5. Enjoy
