How is your year going?

Is it what you expected?

I am amazed. My year has been a journey, and while not everything has been unfolding how I antcipated, it is okay because life is that way.
How we respond to situations and remembering to take the time for honest reflection are the keys to enjoying the journey rather than being thoroughly overwhelmed by it.

People often state that reflection more often than not takes a back seat to their overloaded lists of things to do.

What is really being said is “I don’t see the value in it to make it worth my time.”  What would make it be worth the time?  What would you need to get? How I benefit from reflection include keeping my main tasks in line with my main goals, heightened sense of focus on what I want from my life, and learning from my mistakes so that I don’t waste precious energy repeating them!

I totally agree with you Tammy. Taking time to reflect has had a very positive effect on my life.

I was taught that ‘doing’ was so much more important and than ‘being’. I associated taking time to relax, reflect and recharge with being lazy so I found I had to challenge old beliefs in order to change. Now that I have moved ‘reflection time’ to the top of my priority list all of my ‘doing’ flows with ease and enjoyment.
