We are living in times where intensity is growing and as it grows so does the importance of the sacred. These times are providing an opportunity to wake up or open up to a new awareness; a new consciousness for many.
Sacred living is an awakening to the interconnectedness of all life, the spirit of life, Gaia, God, Spirit, Soul, Universe that flows through all, a oneness.
I see sacred living as a respect and reverence for all. It is a willingness to look for the beauty and oneness within all. It is through separation that we have judgment, anger, wars and disharmony. Whether it is between organizations, families or within ourselves, it is through the unrest that often causes one to go seeking, asking questions, and wanting resolve.
Sacred living then grants compassion, grace, forgiveness and love.
As you embrace the possibility of the sacred it provides a richness to life; a much deeper and more fulfilling life. I like to call it a “juiciness to life,” just like eating a fresh piece of juicy fruit, it can awaken the tastebuds, sensations as the juice rolls down your chin and the laughter begins as you try to catch the juice with your tongue.
Nurturing the sacred begins with being willing to acknowledge the interconnectedness, nature if full of it, from the ocean tides, blossoming flowers, the moon and the sky, to the seasons in each year, and the cycles of life.
There are a variety of ways to incorporate sacredness into each day. From waking up and saying thanks, taking a few minutes each morning to yourself to honor the divine within and around you, lighting incense or a candle or playing music. All are inviting spirit to be a part of it. As you make a habit of doing this you will notice greater focus and the day will become more purposeful and life changes.
In practicing awareness and being aware of your thoughts, are they kind and creating connection or judging and creating separation and disharmony, which can lead to illness? Be willing to honor grace, forgive and find compassion into every moment. Each moment is a new opportunity.
I would love to hear what you do to invite the sacredness into each day and how you nurture it.
Thankyou for the reminder to do this. Anything that connects me with the present moment feels sacred. I try to meditate and get outside everyday too!
A nice perspective Naomi.
I start my day with a sacred ritual of using products I love and objects I love. I am not attached to them, but they represent self-care. It’s a small thing but it’s my start. Essential oils and coconut oil massage every morning even if it’s only 20 seconds of rubbing it in! Small doses…big results. Breathing too!
Sounds lovely, that you start every day with a variety of ways of bringing the sacred into your life and valuing self-care.
My day begins early at 5:30 as I rise to head out to the gym. By starting my day with fitness, this preps me for the day and I feel energized and ready to take on the world!
I hear you Linda, it feels so good and a great way to give to yourself.
Now we know who the selbisne one is here. Great post!
Looks great and am looking forward to using some of this, especially with the preschoolers I get who are ready for more. I am getting a Bad Gateway error when I try to download from TPT. I will try again later.
I think ETips is agreeing with you that you shouldn’t be friends with your kids. But I disagree. There’s a time to play their games with them and a time to be the grown-up.
I’m sure you are a real credit to your Grandma – she was obviously a very special woman Lizzie. Looks like you learned a great deal from this wise and gracious woman. A beautifully written tribute to her. Hope you feel a little more healed now and glad you connected with her energy and memory on her birthday. Kindest thoughts to you – always. Namaste! xx
The ability to think like that shows you’re an expert
God helg!
Lovely message dear soul 🙂 I find it sacred to dance with joy and smile with my whole being! Also by being creative and stylish 🙂
What a lovely way to bring in the sacred! Sounds very yummy.
I like to welcome the sacred by beginning each day with meditation. Meditation connects me to myself and inspires me to connect with my environment in a deeper way. Thanks for the reminder to slow down!
Slowing down for high-paced type A people is often under-valued.
What a great reminder! I try to keep every action and every day sacred in some form. I find that putting the extra effort into the awareness makes me more present, I make more conscious decisions and am living with more intention. 🙂
Lovely Brianna, thanks for sharing how you incorporate the sacred into daily living.
The first way I always choose to bring the sacred into my day is to be in nature. It might be an early morning hike or just some quiet time on the beach with my dog. Nature always serves as a course-correction on perspective and priorities and to ground me in gratitude for living in such a beautiful place.
What a beautiful way to start your day Anne. Thanks for sharing.

Depends on where you live. If you live in a 2nd or 3rd world crap hole or are used to that, money may not matter as much. If you live someplace halfway decent, are married and have kids, then money matters. None of us here are talking about “wall street” money, but the difference between 18 and 35/hr makes a huge difference on lifestyle and possibilities.
Hi,Found you while I was on twitter, and have a question. With the arrival of self-publishing, how has the job of being an agent changed? Is there a different approach? Do agents generally encourage potential clients to self-publish?Stella MacLeanTHE CHRISTMAS INNHarlequin Super RomanceNovember 2012
wine….very nice!i like to have a few bottles of your pinot noir and some “marc de great barrier”.don’t poison yourself while gardening with 1080 and all the other chemicals….stay öko!
I am assuming that the difference in the tool's preview and of the SERPs preview is that the SERPs is an older version of the page taken from the Google's cache and the Webmaster Tools version of the page is a fresh version of the page. Which if you have made changes that are not indexed/cached by Google's GoogleBot yet would make sense as to why the two different.
sure hope a year from now I am not reading another article about what a Natural Born Citizen is."It is pretty much guaranteed that you will still be reading these types of articles. This issue will never be seen before a court with regards to President Obama. It may come up again when Rubio or Jindal run but they to will never be in court over it. The fact is there are few if any main stream Constitutional scholars who would agree with Mario. And until that changes, it is a dead issue.
Oui mais je l’ai dit en premier, alors recouche-toi sur ce putain de canapé et réponds à mes questions bordel, j’ai pas que toi à voir comme patient aujourd’hui figure-toi!!
My favorite ways to invite the sacred into my day is meditation, getting out in nature and dancing. I like to take meditation breaks throughout the day just to spend a few minutes slowing down, tuning in, centering. It’s amazing the huge boost it gives to my day! 🙂
My day begins by cleaning and “Setting the stage” for the rest of my day. It may not sound sacred, but it is for me 🙂
Wonderful website you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics
discussed here? I’d really like to be a part of community where I can get suggestions from other knowledgeable people
that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
