What’s Your Vibe?

Do you sometimes wish you had more energy, less lows and more highs or feel like life is a mountain climb? Worries, busyness, stress, problems, or being around negative people all lower your vibe and your attitude.

Meanwhile happy things, positive people, thoughts of new ideas and opportunities, eating fresh food, being in nature, and positive people all help to increase your vibration.

This is all vibration, also known as frequency and law of attraction. Your current situation is what you have attracted into your life for some reason. No, you probably didn’t consciously say, “I want to attract ‘xyz’ into my life.” You may have seen some people and say, “They have all the luck,” while someone else you see are always faced with problems. At some level this is what is being attracted and usually not intentional.

Difficult situations can appear in many places. It may be at work, with a friend or a family member and you may think you can’t change the situation without it getting nasty or being too large to change by yourself. Next time you experience a difficult situation, chances are it may make you feel angry, frustrated, powerless and more. It can also be draining of your energy and keep you feeling stuck. Plus it may take your focus off of other positive things in your life because of the worry it causes you.

There is another way to view the situation. I encourage you to consider it as an opportunity. If you would be willing to consider it that way, it opens up new ways to consider the situation. It may take a little effort to view it in this light but it can be done.

Let me explain for those of you who disagree or are unsure. It is not up to us to change the external situation; often times we can’t. However, you could look at it from a place. If you wear a pair of rose colored sunglasses, everything appears pinkish, while if wear orange, then things appear orange or looking at a street from ground level or 20 storey highrise, you get a totally different perspective in what you see. This can be said for problems and worries. Reframe them into an opportunity and ask what can be learned from the situation so it would not impact your vibe which can make feel sluggish or create a negative attitude or mood.

You could choose to do nothing and be upset, hoping that it will just go away or make it wrong and talk about how awful it is. The other possibility is to try looking at the situation from a different perspective.

You have a choice.

Looking from a different perspective:

  • Not complaining about the situation which energetically drains you and actually feeds the negative situation.
  • Shift focus away from the concern by:
  • Being curious and ask questions: “What can I learn from this situation?” “How is this concern impacting my life, health or business?”
  • “How may only good come of this?” “What can I accomplish from a positive place?”
  • Let go of the situation and the people by:
  • Focusing on other more positive things.
  • Ask yourself, “How important is it?” “What can I gain from thinking negatively?”

Based on the law of attraction, you have attracted it for some reason. Often times once you understand the learning around it, life will get easier.

3 Ways of Raise Your Vibe:

  1. Going into and spend time with nature; appreciate it. A lot can be learned from nature.
  2. Practicing a mantra like “Om”, or “only good shall come to me and only good shall leave from me.”
  3. Exercise where you need to focus on the activity at hand.

All of these different activities will have you transcend your concern and be more focused on the present moment.

When you are in the present moment, that’s all there is. The present moment gives you back your energy with power and control. You will notice a change in your attitude, your thoughts and your energy plus you will want to create good.

When you go about to create good, it will expand and you will attract more.

Next time you are feeling low energy or dealing with a problem, I encourage you to give some of these tools a try.

I would love to learn what you find helpful when dealing with challenging situations. Please comment below or send me an email.

We don’t have access to the really positive emotions if we’re too far down the emotional (“vibe”) scale. So I say GET NEUTRAL.

For example, If you’re angry, you don’t have access to joy. To get neutral can look like going for a walk outside to search for and collect 9 different types of leaves. It’s not just getting outside where you can think about whatever’s got you down, it’s focusing on an activity or thing that will relieve your anger and, yet, has no emotional charge itself. Once you are NEUTRAL (and present), you can begin to work towards higher “vibes”.

Hope you like this – loved your tips too! xo

Thanks Alix for sharing your tip. The idea of getting neutral is so key, plus your tip of focusing on 9 different leaves to get present and focused.

I love these tips, Tammy! My approach is similar to yours. I don’t focus directly on the problem, but think of it as a “snow globe” When you shake the problem or snowglobe, it stays chaotic but if you put it down it often settles peacefully. 🙂

What a great idea Angela, I have never heard of the snow globe before, very cool. It makes a lot of sense, it reminds me of deer and how they shake when they experience a trauma.

Great article, Tammy! My approach is similar, once I recognize that I’m focused on the negative, on what I don’t want, and at a low vibration, I switch my focus to what I DO want and focus on the positive, on creating what I want in my life instead of trying to get rid of what I don’t want. 🙂
