My theme for 2013 is say “yes to life.” What this means is allowing our greatness to shine and to be our best. Saying yes to life involves changing and surrendering to those changes that will move us closer to our goals. We need to remember that, in order to effect true change, we need to be open to receiving what saying “yes to life” has to give.
Saying yes to life is also about awakening and listening to our hearts. When we do this it allows us to connect with our greater aspect, it allows us to feel what is going on inside of ourselves. Sometimes in a busy world, the easiest path is to simply stay busy and not take the time to connect and feel with our heart. This could be because we may not like what we feel or know what to do with it.
So why change from our do, do, do lives where it is much easier to stay in our heads and keep focused on the external? Because when we are only connected with our heads, we are disconnected with our hearts and bodies. When we expand our focus from just “doing” actions and tackling activities to include a focus on “being,” we are then living in the present. We are able to experience a heightened awareness of what is going on both inside and outside of ourselves. Massage and meditation are great ways to connect with ourselves to relax and let go of the busyness, to feel what is going on in the body, and to experience calm and stillness.
Found out here how to measure if you are saying yes to life!
